It’s Fri-yay

Yes, it’s the end of the work week for most and I can’t help but think that there’s in somebody who’s looking forward to unwinding with a glass of ‘good-good’ in hand.  If you know me, then you know that I’m instantly smitten by acrylic/lucite.  No surprise that this Ritz Bar Cart of the Mclaughlin Collection stopped me while page turning in print. Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

The acquisition of The Design Daredevil’s ceramic jaguar and My Interior LIfe’s mid centery modern stools have my immediate and undivided attention.  Both sales are proof positive that estate sales–rawk! Many, many months ago when I was an HGTV Cash & Cari viewer, I joined The Estate Sales Network but never followed up.  This time will be DIFFERENT…  I’m adding to my May’s To Dew List—attend at least one estate sale.

I Can Get a Receipt for That?

I am not sure what I’m going to do with it, but I’ve printed a receipt for the 2012 taxes that I paid to the United States Government.  Perhaps it will make me feel better that know how my tax dollars have helped the greater mankind.  It’s better to be needed, than needy!Image

My Color Muse

I’ve wanted to bring POPS of color into my home for a very long time.  So, I had been surveying the scene in search of my ‘color muse’. You know the inspiration for which the rest of your color choices come from.  I knew that I wanted something classic with bold, easy to find colors. I’ve fallen in love with Schumacher’s Chiang Mai Dragon in aquamarine:

On the surface this print isn’t for everyone including me but it’s classic (not ever going out of style) and rich with modern colors that can be used throughout my entire home. I’m diving in with both feet!

Here’s what it looks like in modern settings:

Update:  Although this material is $250 per yard, with a 3 yard minimum, I was able to purchase a set of two cushion covers for eBay for $130.  The eBay user is cushinumbers
